Rosario de Guzman-Lingat (1924 – 1997) was a prolific Filipina author, producing the bulk of her writings from the 1960s to the 1970s.  Her works included novels and short stories that came out in the popular magazines of the time, scripts for television drams, essays, and poetry.

She was considered as one Liwayway magazine’s most prominent writers.  The publication featured many of her short stories, some of which appeared in the popular komiks format.

The Rosario de Guzman-Lingat Collection in ALiWW also includes prized memorabilia such as the scrapbook containing the love poems and letters exchanged between Rosario and her husband, Sabino, many of which were written during the war years.

Visit the ALiWW Reading Room from 29 March to 29 April 2017 and momentarily enter the world of Rosario de Guzman-Lingat.
