The Acquisitions Section is located on the 5th floor of the New Rizal Library, to the right of the staircase. Only Ateneo de Manila University faculty, with the approval of their department head, can visit to clarify or inquire on requests of books to be acquired by the library.
As part of the Library Technical Services, this section develops and preserves the print and non-print collection of the Rizal Library. This function involves bibliographic searching, ordering, receiving, accessioning, claiming, recording, and processing of library materials.
Offered Services:
- Receive book recommendations from faculty members for library acquisition;
- Provide bibliographic information for new materials to be exhibited (if there are no records yet in the Cataloging Section yet); and
- Provide information on the purchase of library materials
