Living in the Philippines: The American Experience (1898-1946)

Drop by the American Historical Collection and catch their ongoing exhibit entitled Living in the Philippines: The American Experience (1898-1946). The exhibit showcases materials such as books, photographs, official documents, and other memorabilia, all related to the involvement of the Americans with the Philippines from 1898 to 1946. Sectioned into specific points in time, these materials provide a glimpse into the various key moments of the Americans' stay in the Philippines, from the Spanish-American war to Philippine Liberation. The exhibit allows one to see and understand the American colonial administration, its goals, and its policies. Likewise, the exhibit also provide an understanding of the Philippine Republic that emerged after the American period.

Living in the Philippines: The American Experience (1898-1946) runs until October 2013.

The American Historical Collection is located at the Third Floor of the Old Rizal Library, and is open 8:00 am-5:00 pm on weekdays, and 8:00 am-12:00 nn on Saturdays.
