The Ateneo Library of Women's Writings in cooperation with the Rizal Library, the Communications Department, the Fine Arts Program and the Book Bench invite you to a film showing featuring “MORAL” on

The film showing is a part of this year's Paz Marquez Benitez Lecture/Exhibit in honor of Direk Marilou Diaz-Abaya.

 

19th Paz Marquez Benitez Lecture / Exhibit

Every year, we honor various women and their archived writings with an exhibit and lecture series, this year’s Paz Marquez Benitez Lecture/Exhibit will honor Direk Marilou Diaz-Abaya. The exhibit will open at 4:00pm on September 6th, 2013 at the ALiWW Reading Room. In lieu of a lecture series, we are going to have a film-viewing of “Jose Rizal” at the fifth floor of the Rizal Library at 5:30pm. The event will close with a 3:00pm Mass and Closing Program on October 8th, 2013.

Rizal Lib Student Assistantship Program

What exactly is the nature of the job?  Student assistants shall be assigned to a specific section in the Rizal Library depending on his/her skills and experience. The nature of tasks include (but are not limited to): archival work, clerical tasks (such as filing documents), reference work, assisting in library tours, helping out during library programs and events, etc.  This shall be discussed in detail during the interview.

American Historical Collection

This section is found on the 2nd floor of the Rizal Library Special Collections Building, or the “Old Lib,” which is shorthand for the Old Library.

The official reports and records on the history of American occupation in the Philippines, as well as written commentaries (book, periodical, unpublished material) and photographs are housed in this section.

Acquisition Section

The Acquisitions Section is located on the 5th floor of the New Rizal Library, to the right of the staircase. Only Ateneo de Manila University faculty, with the approval of their department head, can visit to clarify or inquire on requests of books to be acquired by the library.
