ALiWW is proud to feature Ofelia Gelvezon-Tequi for its 12th Natividad Galang Fajardo exhibit
Tequi was born in Iloilo and received her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts and in English from the University of the Philippines, a Diploma in Painting from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma in Italy, and a Rockefeller Foundation Scholarship for Special Studies in Graphic Arts at the Pratt Institute in New York. She has held over 40 solo exhibitions, has participated in over 70 group exhibits, and has been featured in most major cities around the world. Her recognition and awards include a Gold Medal for the Art Association of the Philippines, a First Prize for the Printmakers Association of the Philippines' Annual Exhibition and Competition, the Michiko Takamatsu Prize as well as the Lucien and Suzanne Jonas Prize, both for Salon des Artistes Francais, Espace Auteuil in Paris.
The exhibit will run from February 27 up to May 31, 2014
