Microform and Digital Resources Center

This section is located on the ground floor of the Old Rizal Library. It is the section to go to for materials discovered through the Rizal Library’s online database but are not immediately accessible in print. It houses the microforms collection of the Rizal Library available for digital reading, including the newspapers in DVD format, microfilm, and microfiche.

Some of the notable materials in the microfilm collection include the following :

• European archival materials on Philippine History
• St. Louis Collection from the Archivo de Tarragona de la Compania de Jesus
• The Abella Collection
• The National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Collection

Some of the notable materials in the microfiche collection include the following:

• Theses and dissertations of Ateneo de Manila University students
• Selected theses and dissertations from other institutions that deal with the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries
• Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) documents  from 1958-1987
• Human Relations Area Files (HRAF)

Offered Services:

• Assists in searching for specific materials and using the microfilm, microfiche, and digital readers
• Scans and prints selected information from microform and digital materials
• Provides a printing service
