Brenda V. Fajardo, Professor Emeritus at the University of the Philippines, finished B.S. in Agriculture at the University of the Philippines, Los Banos, proceeded to acquire an M.S. in Art Education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Ph. D in Philippine Studies at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She co-founded the Philippine Art Educators Association (PAEA, 1967) with Araceli Dans and other art and culture organizations such as KASIBULAN and BAGLAN Art Initiatives for Community Development. She has been an external examiner in visual arts for the International Baccalaureate Organization for many years. Brenda taught at the Ateneo Grade School and High School Department and the U.P. Diliman, Department of Art Studies.
A practitioner of visual arts and theater, she has exhibited nationally and internationally. Her works are in the collection of the Queensland Art Gallery in Brisbane, Australia; Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Japan; Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, Japan and the Singapore Art Museum. She is curr
